Virus free!!

Man, my laptop is finally virus free so now I can get back to updating the blog.  Wednesday night we took some time to start taking pictures of the raffle prizes for the show.  We have some really great stuff for the raffle.  Just so everyone knows all raffle tickets are $5 each.  Admission into the show itself is $10 per person and includes one raffle ticket.  You MUST be present to claim your prize from the raffle.  The plan is to start posting some pictures of the raffle prizes.  Let us know what you think and make sure to let people know about the blog.  You can hit us on Twitter also. http://twitter.com/ClevlndsGotSole

Here is the first of many raffle prizes.  We want to thank Mike and everyone at Martini Skate and Snow for donating these DS size 13 Prod III’s that come with a wooden lasered box.  These are also marked as a 1 of 500 pair.

Here is a little more information on Martini Skate and Snow

In the fall of 2006, Martini Skate and Snow opened as a venue to support the connection of fashion, art, and street culture to skateboarding and snowboarding style. Located in Northfield, OH (just south of Cleveland), the shop was conceived from the idea that skateboarding and snowboarding are defined by personal style and originality.

Taking nods from movements on the East and West Coasts, to blend a boutique atmosphere with a board shop, Martini Skate and Snow offers the latest and limited inspired by street and snowboard-influenced style.

A fusion of form and functionality, Martini’s selection is a culmination of core brands driven by people who skate and ride. Not only does Martini offer the best in core skateboard and snowboard brands, the shop specializes in premium apparel, footwear and accessory brands.

So what is in a name?  In ancient Latvia, Martini was the name of a festival, celebrated on November 10, marking the end of the fall and the beginning of winter. The festival marks the passage from Usins to Martins, two horse deities. Usins is invoked during the summer, while Martins is a winter god. The festival marked the end of the preparations for winter, such as salting meat and fish, storing the harvest and making preserves. Martini also marked the beginning of masquerading and sledding, among other winter activities.
